Training & Development

The programme has been designed with flexibility in mind and it may be possible to complete it in only two years if you demonstrate exceptional skills and competencies and quickly acquire the knowledge required to succeed in a trading role.

The subject you have studied is immaterial – we are interested in individual excellence. If you are an innovative thinker, with an entrepreneurial spark and you can show a real fascination for global markets and finance then the TDP is the right fit for you.

Each year we invite a number of applicants to the BP trading workshop in Paris to learn more about BP trading through presentations, games and social events in a fun and friendly environment. The only formal assessment over the two days will be your first round interviews. Invitations to this event are sent to the applicants who apply early and score highly in the initial screening process. At the workshop you will be able to talk to a cross section of IST staff from senior managers through to our current TDP graduates to learn more about the opportunities in BP IST. All expenses will be covered.
