This role is responsible for providing Red Team capability to Cyber Security Operations team. The role will lead a virtual team against predefined internal environments using a variety of approaches including tabletop, direct action and OPFOR. The role is responsible for working with the various security, technology and business teams to define, schedule and manage the activities culminating in actionable reporting of findings. The role is required to have excellent stakeholder management skills and be focused on managing risk and change. The role requires the individual to work as part of the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) and support Major Incidents and Remediation as required. The role may be required to travel Internationally, in support of the Red Team engagements. The role requires an extensive understanding of security across a large organisation and exposure to a number of technologies and a deep understanding of Security Best Practice. The Red Team Manager must mentor the virtual team members and provide a level of technical oversight (in both content and approach) to the Red Team engagements. It is expected the individual in this role will actively research new tools (either desk-check or via Proof Of Concepts), new methods, new Intelligence and techniques to avoid detection and compromise targeted systems. The Red Team Manager is accountable for the virtual team activities and outcomes and must align to ANZ requirements and values.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Knowledge and experience in Red Team activities within an Enterprise environment
- Knowledge of Red Team methodology and Incident Response Experienced Leader
- Thorough knowledge of security risk management
- Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
- SANS and other industry relevant certifications for IR and Red team
