You'll be responsible for detecting and responding to cyber threats in a complex global environment, and have real influence in the team's direction as we build a world class operation.
Your previous experience in a Security Operations Centre role will help you to hit the ground running, adding value to the existing global team by providing timely response to detected threats, tuning existing detections and developing new ways to identify and contain threat activity. This may involve automating tasks in a scripting language like Python, or analysing a new malware sample to find indicators of compromise - it's up to you to find a creative answer!
As a respected source of advisory to technology and business stakeholders, you will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, and an ability to summarise highly technical concepts in such a way as to convey the relevant message to a non technical audience. You will also draw on your strong knowledge of IT security principles and particular strength in either database, operating systems, mobile or web architecture security to drive continued team development, mentoring other team members while striving to learn from colleagues.
You will have an adaptable and dependable character, capable of dealing effectively with colleagues and business users working in a constantly evolving environment, across multiple countries, cultures and time-zones. You'll remain calm and focused when working in stressful situations, maintaining a "service first" approach.
