Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business development, achieving new sales and revenue growth target with a portfolio of top tier HK and Chinese corporate clients.
  • Enhance client base by generating incremental revenues as mandated
  • Target prospecting on key new revenue opportunities for both treasury management and trade solutions across various regions
  • Improve customer satisfaction and sales effectiveness through:
    • being a trusted advisor and subject matter expert that adds value to the relationship
    • bringing new ideas, solutions and products to the clients
    • production of professional proposals and presentations within customer deadlines
    • understanding the bank, process and procedures and how to get things done
  • Work with corporate banking partners to prepare and maintain account plans for key clients and establish a disciplined process for review and action against the plans
  • Constantly review client portfolio to ensure that the names achieve and maintain hurdle profitability levels or exit the relationship based on the Bank's business objectives.
  • Work with implementation and services teams to ensure a smooth implementation and high client satisfaction
  • Make calls on key clients and working with other partners in the group, develop solutions to meet client needs and endeavor to cross-sell the Bank's full product suite
  • Maintain strong and open internal dialogue with relationship, product and in country teams to the benefit of the clients
  • Lead the global sales pitch and solution execution for HK corporates and be a proactive deal team member of the global client team within the assigned portfolio.

Requirements

  • Relevant sales or relationship management experience within a top tier international bank
  • Proven track record in managing complex cash and trade deals for HK and Chinese corporations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Able to successfully develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Bachelor's degree education
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Strong client engagement skills with an unwavering focus on client satisfaction and growing business
  • A strong team player who understands how to leverage various businesses functions/partners to drive business growth and support the global client management and sales teams
  • Knowledge of Corporate Treasury functions
  • Knowledge of tax and regulatory environments in the country
