Role Requirements:

  • Review requirements and documentations in transaction / regulatory / financial reporting from different regulators.
  • Define project scope, identify functional areas / stakeholders impacted by the project and provide input into the project planning process.
  • Liaise with Legal, Front office, Compliance, Operations and Technology to define and drive changes across system and operational process to ensure timely & effective compliance.
  • Document requirements, technology functional specifications , change to business processes, test plans, new business / product approvals and other project outputs.
  • Attend industry wide relevant regulatory forums (DTCC, HKMA etc) to ensure detailed understanding of regulatory projects.
  • Effective assessment and of regulatory change requirements on the current and planned business activities.
  • Proactive communication of upcoming regulatory impact across varied set of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Test cycles with the project managers and be involved in early acceptance testing of regulatory and related process changes.
  • Drive RTB changes in Business Process or Technology to fix/remediate regulatory reporting issues and improve business regulatory standards.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with legal, technology business and operational areas.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Finance /Technology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in the delivery of Front Office, Operations, Regulatory or Risk Management projects within an equities / capital markets business.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of equity and derivatives products.
  • In-depth knowledge of front / middle / back office processes, such as trade execution, settlement, custodian funding, confirmations etc.
  • Experience in transaction / regulatory / financial reporting from investment banking environment ideally across OTC Reform across varied regulators e..g ASIC/CFTC/SEC/HKMA.
  • Experience with documenting requirements and test cases, facilitating workshops, coordinating testing, business process mapping, process re-engineering and full project lifecycle.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and take a proactive approach to building knowledge both in relation to the business and systems landscape.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a dynamic environment, delivering timely, accurate and high quality solutions to business opportunities and challenges.
  • Excellent English writing and oral communication skills, and be able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to quickly learn new products and systems. Can thrive in a challenging constantly changing environment.
