My client is a leading proprietary trading firm and hedge fund manager, looking to hire a Compliance Generalist to perform a range of compliance responsibilities including trade surveillance, monitoring and regulatory filings.

The Compliance Generalist will be responsible for the monitoring and surveillance of the firm's trading activities in the Hong Kong office, along with assisting in risk reviews, implementation of compliance controls and projects, as well as the training of staff. The Compliance Generalist will also review and implement changes to compliance policies, practices, structures and procedures when necessary.

Along with the aforementioned compliance resposibilities, the Compliance Generalist will also liaise with the London office in transaction monitoring (MiFID & EMIR), as well as providing short term support to Middle Office functions when necessary.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Finance, Business or Compliance, along with at least 1 year of experience in a junior compliance role in a regulated financial institution. Experience in a proprietary trading firm, broker or hedge fund is desirable.

The candidate should also have knowledge of equities, derivatives and trade cycles. Key attributes include excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and having the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has made a start to their career in compliance and is looking to develop further within a fast growing organization.
