An international insurance group is looking for a high caliber candidate to join as Director, Compliance. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international Insurance Group with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit high caliber to join them.

Heading up the Hong Kong compliance team, you will provide compliance support to enterprise wide requirements in Hong Kong so as to provide assurance to senior management that regulatory obligations are met.  You will implement Compliance Management Program to ensure that new / change of legislative requirements, compliance issues are identified, evaluated with control measures are established in a timely manner.   You will also compile and prepare regular reports to Regional and Global Compliance teams, Risks Management team and Board of Directors and develop / maintain on-going process to administer the program and participate in global initiatives for development of the assessment tools for enhancement of the program.   In addition you will be responsible for Key Compliance Review /Self-Assessment Program and working with Business Unit to review the appropriateness of  key control measures with reference to corporate policies e.g. social media, fraud program etc.   Lastly, you will work with Business to keep abreast of regulatory requirements which affects multiple business units and provide compliance advice for assessment, development and maintenance of key control measures.   

To be considered, you will be a degree holder with a minimum of 10 years of compliance experiences preferably with a major insurer or financial institution in Hong Kong.  You should be able to work on the formulation of compliance policies and procedures, implement the same in accordance with the regulations and business needs together with team management skills. Lastly, you should be fluent in English and Cantonese.
