We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Global Cards Product Manager, Portfolio Management.

Principal responsibilities

  • Reporting functionally into Head of Global Cards, Product Management within the Global Retail Products Information Technology team, is a key role responsible for planning, directing, and supporting the implementation of Group Cards Strategic objectives.
  • Serves an inter disciplinary role in Information Technology, bridging gaps between teams of different product expertise, most notably between the engineering oriented teams and the commercially oriented teams, works closely with these teams to explain the capabilities and limitations of the current Cards platform.
  • Be the channel for Regional Heads of Cards Product Management in raising requirements under the Global Cards portfolio.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on portfolio, programme and project management tooling, giving advice to priority and enterprise wide programmes.
  • Develops and manages relationship with the global and regional business and its functions, faceoff to the Business on Cards Information Technology portfolio.
  • Work with business partners to agree due process on financial challenges and to agree allocation and prioritization of funding across projects.
  • Ensure all projects maintain adherence to agreed budgets, and that projected over runs are flagged early and resolutions agreed.
  • Overall tracking of high probability and high impact portfolio, programme and project risk and issues, also helps to facilitate the resolution process.
  • Oversee management of Cards Information Technology budget and by engaging other team on resources assignment and provide financials on Cards Portfolio Projects.
  • Coordinate the definition, documentation, and approval for Software Club apportionment and recovery metrics pertaining to Cards, facilitate resolution of concerns or questions pertaining to recovery metrics, as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of Cards and Portfolio Management concepts.
  • Experienced in budget management and use of numerical data to assesses and report on performance and identify business issues and opportunities.
  • Significant experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business and operating plans which consistently deliver desired results.
  • Strong people leadership, team work, gathering information and analysing, judgment and decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • In depth understanding of the bank structures, processes and objectives across the Group.
