Hatstand, a global financial consultancy, is seeking for Junior Developers to work within a large Investment Bank. Ideally you will have 3-4 years commercial development experience ideally with Core Java, however other coding languages such as C, C++ and C# would be acceptable. This vacancy is part of the Hatstand Green Beret Programme, our unique talent development programme which is aimed at talented, ambitious graduates with 3-5 years commercial experience, who would like to enter the financial technology sector.

Applicants must have demonstrable commercial development experience, and must have a keen interest in learning new technology. Experience within the financial sector is not essential, however some knowledge of and a strong interest in working in the fast paced financial sector is key.

The environment you will be working in will be using Core Java as the preferred language and a MS SQL database. However any experience of using structured languages such as Java, C#, or scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby etc.… is fine. Experience with Sybase or Oracle would also be acceptable. It is an environment where pair programming and collaboration is strongly encouraged so you must have excellent communication and team- working skills.
