Senior Client Due Diligence Advisor

Location: Hong Kong

Salary: $30,000 -35,000 Base plus bonus


Key Responsibilities

The Senior CDD Advisor will act as an advisor to the business and support units on compliance issues and when required will liaise with regulator as well as assist in the training for CDD personnel. They will be responsible for assisting the business and support units in establishing appropriate policies, manuals and procedures for their operations in regards to all Group and regulatory requirements.  The Advisor must ensure that CDD Controls and screening for PEPs are in line with both internal and external regulatory standards. Periodically review the local regulatory standards against global standards and ensure that all local CDD policy and procedures are constantly up-to-date and in compliance with local laws and regulations. As part of this role they will handle any escalations from the business and advise frontline staff in regards to financial crime screening policies and procedures. The successful incumbent will assess CDD risks arising from specific clients and advise the business on management and mitigation of those risks in the best interests of the Bank and the Retail Clients, and ultimately assist and advise on escalating high risk relationships and reputational risks regarding CDD.


Key Requirements:

BA/BS is required for this role with 5 years experience in CDD/EDD/ Compliance, ideally in an advisory capacity. While experience in retail banking would be ideal it is not mandatory if the individual is eager and adaptable enough to broaden his/her knowledge of different areas of the business. For this position impeccable communication skills are essential for this role.

Must have a valid HKID or equivalent work permit.
