We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Finance Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as Operational Accounting centre point of contact for accounting policy implementation advisory liaison.
  • Oversee tax calculation and the related reporting.
  • Ensure proper IFRS implementation by working with Global project team and local finance IT team to configure systems accounting rules for proper financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely response to data requests and visits from internal or external auditors and SOX team.
  • Oversee data analysis and analytical review for FINREP and GSIB reporting as produced by offshore teams.
  • Able to work closely with Centralised Production team, Hong Kong Review team, IT and Risk teams to deliver quality data and analysis for financial reporting and ad hoc requests.
  • Build and maintain trust of key stakeholders including Group Project Team and Regional Financial Reporting team.
  • Influence and collaborate to drive achievement of the project goals and where required, escalate issues and risks in an effective way to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationship between Centralised Production team and Hong Kong Review team.
  • Coach and develop the team on corporate governance, project and reporting requirements.
  • Escalate major issues and risks to the appropriate level of authority on a timely basis.
  • Take a proactive role in resolving issues and uphold credibility and reputation of the department.
  • Maintain an attitude of continual process improvement in order to ensure a timely and quality output.
  • Establish robust control framework on the reporting process including data control, proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and reporting requirements.

  • University graduate with professional accounting qualification.
  • Proven solid experience in field of international accounting policy standards.
  • Sound knowledge of a variety of banking products, with strong capability in structured products and regional exposures are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work autonomously and maintain good self-discipline, interaction skill and confidence.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and able to cope with tight deadlines under pressure
  • High degree of flexibility in adaption to changes.
  • Strong will to continuously improve on prevailing work practices.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
