An award winning fintech start-up, is looking to make their first sales hire in Asia to sell across the Asian financial markets. After a number of successful rounds of funding, this innovative market entrant, is ready to go to market with their offering.

My client, an award winning fintech start-up, is looking to make their first sales hire in APAC to sell across the local markets. After a number of successful rounds of funding, this innovative market entrant, is ready to go to market with their suit of data products and are looking for a well-connected sales person to help spearhead their growth.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 7 years selling financial technology either within the Hong Kong Banking community or hedge funds trading in global equity, currency or debt. Experience in selling event driven trading data or services are essential and any candidates without this experience will not be considered.

My client’s growth plans are aggressive and this is an excellent time to be joining the organisation. Working closely with the European Head and Co-Founders, the successful candidate will be instrumental in the company’s progression and an entrepreneurial sales approach is one of the main skills that must be demonstrated in previous roles.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a go to market plan
  • Carrying quotas
  • Directly sales solutions and manages sales opportunities throughout their lifecycle (from first call to closure)
  • Cold calling and following up marketing leads
  • Develops and executes responses to queries from prospects and clients which may take the form of informal requests or more formal RFI/RFP documents
  • Interacts with prospect at all levels (including C-Levels)
  • Sets-up meetings efficiently to make best use of travel time
  • Undertakes demonstrations and/or presentations of selected product offerings
  • Negotiates and closes new business contracts

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years sales experience
  • Experience in selling data or services within: Event driven and equity trading
  • Senior relationships across Tier 1 and 2 investment banks
  • Experience in selling to the hedge fund community
