The Cross Divisional Projects & Architecture (XDIV) team is a regional team of business analysts and project managers who support significant business change and technology implementation projects across multiple divisions and business units. The XDIV team is responsible for helping the firm understand the business and technology impact of initiatives, coordinating across the firm to deliver these initiatives as well as progressing the firm's strategic functional architecture across multiple business lines.

The team covers business flows from front office and has a strong focus on integration and user acceptance testing of these new flows. The team's role on a project varies dependent on need, from overall program management to ownership of specific analysis or testing deliverables, to that of an advisory role.

Projects that are indicative of the type or work that the candidate will be involved include:

  • Launching new products in established cash derivative markets globally.
  • New business initiatives related to evolving market structures resulting from reg reform.
  • Implementation of the strategic global technology platforms.
  • Cross-divisional efforts to implement regulatory derivatives.
  • New business implementations in emerging markets.
  • Analysis and project management supporting acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Deliver detailed project business and technology impact analysis.
  • Contribute to analysis and decision-making of strategic functional architecture objectives of specific projects
  • Manage complex projects from inception to implementation
  • Oversee/manage the work of others performing these tasks
  • Understanding and experience of project management from initiation to implementation (risk / issue management, project Contribute to analysis and decision-making of strategic functional architecture objectives of specific projects
  • The ability to critically examine current processes in order to propose and develop functional improvements
  • Ability to formulate conversion and test plans
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of technology change. Software development experiences a plus but not essential
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate with senior business unit managers and direct reports; understanding business needs/concerns and Highly motivated. Specifically, being interested in following up on detailed business or technical issues and understanding the Confidence & Influence - someone who shows the potential to influence and motivate others.
  • Willing to support and influence application teams from project inception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of the equities business preferred. Additionally, able to elicit business knowledge and have experience of Good understanding of the broker / dealer banker: cash market and / or derivatives.
