Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Transformation Manager Collections.

Principal responsibilities

  • To coordinate all the project parties among the vendor and different HSBC teams at Global, Regional and Country level from Retail Banking and Wealth Management business, Risk and IT. This person will also be responsible to provide status update to the management team.
  • To work on behalf of the regional and country collection team to implement projects.
  • To understand the requirement and the solution.
  • To identify gap, make system recommendation and review solution provided by IT and vendor.
  • To study the system configuration.
  • To work out the system related process under Collections.
  • To support User Acceptance Test including preparing the test cases
  • To support dress rehearsal and implementation from collections business and operation perspectives.
  • To write up the training pack, conduct the training program to train the users within HSBC and our working partners such as external Debt Collection Agencies or legal firm where applicable.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Strong Change management or Project Management type skill set.
  • Strong in Coordination, Documentation, Time and Task management, Running well planned, and agenda based meetings, ability to understand and prioritise in a dynamic environment
  • Strong Communication skills especially in a high value or senior stakeholder environment is important, knowing Chinese language will be an advantage, though not critical
  • Strong Stakeholder management to ensure multiple discussions are coordinated to ensure projects are progressing on track, having a strong sense of critical paths and ability to navigate across multiple requirements, knowing where to push and when to escalate
  • Knowledge or experience in Collections could be useful, though is not critical
  • Having worked on projects with an IT component or having some level of IT background or knowledge of systems configuration would be useful, but not critical
