Business Anayst - Data Governance

Responsibilities

• Maintain data integrity of Moody's core ratings database, its related systems and applications

• Provide daily support to Moody's Global Rating Groups by liaising with the analytical community and other Moody's teams (GMO, MIT, other support areas) for various database requests, information access and updates

• Perform data and portfolio analysis to support management and analysts in research activity and output tracking

Portfolio Maintenance

• Manage analysts and teams' portfolio loads; track and process analyst and issuer changes

• Ensure database accuracy of analytical & managerial issuer coverage and other organizational data

• Proactively engage with rating teams to ensure events triggering reassignments are addressed

• Be responsive to requests for issuer analyst reassignments

• Understand and apply analyst rotation regulatory requirements for portfolio management

• Prepare ongoing and periodic reports for issuer coverage and portfolio loads



Research Tracking

• Monitor research output for analytical teams globally

• Maintain and update research plans throughout the year; track completed research against plan

• Prepare ongoing and periodic reports of research productivity metrics

Qualifications and Other Requirements

• Excellent academic results +BA/BS from reputed schools/colleges in India

• Proficient IT skills including MS office; advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, v-lookups)

• Knowledge of contemporary approaches to data management

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to apply creativity to data solutions, approaches and usage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing and presenting data

• Ability to complete large number of processes with no errors

• Initiative oriented and ability to anticipate the needs of the analytical community

• Strong sense of ownership in assignments and deliverables

• Previous financial data experience would be preferred
