Global Markets Technology builds and maintains software solutions used by Global Markets Front and Middle office. The individual will be part of the team supporting the Equities and Execution Services business in Asia including Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Korea, Taiwan and South East Asia. The role will support several in-house Trading Systems Platform, focusing on business users in the Hong Kong and Japan offices. These systems are being used by both Sales Traders, Execution Traders and Middle Office Users.

Team Overview:

Global Markets Technology builds and maintains software solutions used by Global Markets Front and Middle office. The individual will be part of the team supporting the Equities and Execution Services business in Asia including Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Korea, Taiwan and South East Asia. The role will support several in-house Trading Systems Platform, focusing on business users in the Hong Kong and Japan offices. These systems are being used by both Sales Traders, Execution Traders and Middle Office Users. 

Responsibilities:

  • First line user support and resolution of issues in the production environment. 
  • Accurate incident reporting and management, adherence to change control procedures for system releases and other changes. 
  • Ownership of issues from detection to resolution, including root cause analysis and if necessary creation of requests. 
  • A strong focus on client service and an understanding of the time sensitive nature of the Production environment is essential. 
  • A very strong interest in equity related businesses is also needed as it is a high-visibility role involving building relationships with not only traders, sales and back office users, but also with the regional development team and other teams. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder or above 
  • Fluent written and spoken English 
  • 3+ years’ experience of Equity IT Front and Back Office support. 
  • IDX JONEC Fix messaging system 
  • Understand IT infrastructure i.e. windows server, network equipments, phone system, etc. 
  • Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge 
  • Market Data – basic understanding Reuters or Bloomberg 
  • Basic understanding of Equity System flow. 
  • Diligent, able to follow, maintain user expectation 
  • Flexible and self-starter, able to diagnose and troubleshoot application problems 
  • Organized, able to evaluate and manage priorities, able to handle problem pressure environment 
  • Punctual and reliable 
  • Proactive, able to suggest ideas for improvements and to pinpoint potential
