Based in our Dublin office and reporting into the Consumer Protection Compliance Director you will be responsible for the provision of compliance expertise to the organisation whilst working closely with the Consumer Protection Compliance team ensuring legal entities in Europe operate in an effectively and consistently controlled environment that is also compliant with regulations. You will work independently to analyse regulatory information and promptly inform the organisation about upcoming regulatory changes while also coordinating documentation of compliance and regulatory matters.
Your responsibilities as the Consumer Protection Compliance Coordinator will also include monitoring regulatory changes across the EEA space and analysing the impact of these changes on both individual country and regional level. From here you will also coordinate communication to relevant teams and provide assistance to management in the development of overall department strategies, goals and initiatives. You will act as a point person for the collation and distribution around information applicable to regulatory changes, control and business rule changes. Whilst ensuring relevant departments follow company policies through appropriate documentation governance and record retention standards.
Alongside these day to day tasks you will also maintain and update the Product Control Matrix ensuring that it is compliant and consistent. Spend time collaborating with the Program Controls team and seek efficiency and effectiveness. Responding to requests for legal documentation from regulatory agencies in response to investigations and examinations and contributing to customer satisfaction through positive interaction with the various teams, responsiveness to requests, attention to schedules, and high quality work.
To be successful in this role you will be degree qualified in Law, Compliance or related fields. You will have extensive proven experience within Compliance preferably within banking or money services business which would have provided you with knowledge and understanding or consumer protection laws and regulations as well as trends and issues. Exposure to writing policies and procedures alongside working in virtual teams will also be essential. You will see yourself as someone with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic with a focus and understanding of regulatory licences and jurisdiction. You will thrive in an autonomous situation whilst having established stakeholder engagement skills at all levels. Written and spoken fluency in English is a must and another European language is also seen as an advantage.
