Assicurazioni Generali is currently looking for an ILS and ART Senior Analyst within the Insurance Liability Management Department.

Assicurazioni Generali is currently looking for an ILS and ART Senior Analyst within the Insurance Liability Management Department.
Insurance Liability Management Mission:
design and implementation of non-traditional reinsurance and insurance capital market solutions, with the objective of transferring/covering insurance risks and protecting the Group balance sheet. In particular it consists of the investigation, the structuring, the execution and the maintenance of:

  • Capital market transactions (like ILS, e.g. catastrophe bonds – catbonds – and other insurance securitizations) and

  • Structured solutions (ART, e.g. Value-In-Force and run-off transactions),

on the life and non-life insurance business of the overall Generali Group.
In line with the findings and the identified needs, the targets of the transactions are mainly the following:

  • Optimization of the solvency ratio (acting both at Own Funds and Capital Requirement level)

  • Protection of the profit & loss account

  • Liquidity raising

The successful candidate will be managing some Group or company specific projects, including all the various workstreams.
Transactions can refer to both non-life insurance risks (catastrophe – like earthquake, wind, flood – and non-catastrophe – like motor, construction –) and life insurance business (non-traditional reinsurance, Embedded Value, mortality, longevity), depending from time to time on the priorities and the targets established by the top management.
While directly reporting to the Head of Insurance Liability Management, the candidate will be coordinating some team members.
He/She will be leading project teams including internal stakeholders (like risk management, strategic planning, technical/insurance departments, financial reporting, legal/tax) and will be directly dealing (externally) with reinsurance brokers, investment banks, funds and reinsurers.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • 6-10 years experience in insurance/reinsurance companies or broker houses (best would be with reinsurance or ILS expertise)

  • Economic/financial studies or actuarial statistical studies

  • Capability to interact with internal senior colleagues and external top counterparties/consultants

  • Accountable, flexible, innovation oriented, proactive

  • Availability to work on the legal/contractual documentation of the transactions, in cooperation with legal colleagues and legal counsels

  • English speaking/written at good level
