FVP / SVP - Group Compliance, Global Markets & Wholesale Banking

The Compliance professional is responsible for assisting in managing the Bank's regulatory risk and helping to preserve the Bank's franchise through ensuring Global Markets' compliance with laws, regulations, rules and internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advisory: Provide advice either independently or with other team members on regulatory compliance issues across all Global Markets' businesses in Singapore.
  • Compliance Review: Ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations and the Bank's policies, procedures and standards by conducting periodic reviews of the Global Markets' activities
  • Market Updates: Assist in monitoring regulatory and policy changes, analyzing their impact and communicating such changes to relevant staff.
  • Approvals: Be part of the team that review new products and marketing materials produced by Global Markets.
  • Training: Provide training to Global Markets' staff, as required
  • Business Partnership: Develop relationships with internal businesses to ensure its compliance with rules and regulations.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of regulatory rules and policies; with strengths in Capital Markets Products.
  • Possess market acumen to adjust and adapt to the changing regulatory landscape.
  • Good degree in Accounting, Law, Business, Banking & Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 8 - 10 years in legal, compliance, audit, risk management or regulatory work in the financial services industry.
  • Good writing and communication skills with ability to develop a strong working partnership with Global Markets' staff and internal stakeholders.
  • Team player and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
  • High personal standard of ethics, integrity and commitment to fulfilling the objectives of the position.
