MGR/AVP, Global Market Product Control & Governance (PCG) Project Analyst

Job Description:

You will be part of Global Market Product Control & Governance (PCG) Project team, which deliver high profile projects for Singapore/Overseas Treasury Business Units and the Group Risk Management Sector. Based in Singapore, you will be required to work closely with various Global Markets stakeholders such as Front Office, Back Office, Finance and onshore PCG controllers in oversea centers and/or Global Markets. Assisting Group Market Risk Management / Group Balance Sheet Risk Management in exposure review and its impact on market risk measures and controls from time to time would be necessary. Reporting to the PCG Project Lead, your key responsibilities will be

  • Ownership of the Market Data management process for Derivatives Evaluation and PnL Calculation during project implementation
  • Acquire, update, maintain and process financial data using various internal systems and excel spreadsheet
  • Come up with innovative ways to enhance our systems and to make our data-related processes more efficient, accurate and timely
  • Participate in time-sensitive projects, and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver new initiatives
  • Documentation, articulating and translating the BAU project requirement to technical counterparts. Perform frequent review on the deliverables from the technical counterparts
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of projects requirements by engaging actively in Functional Testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT), Mock Run and System Go-Live
  • Investigating issues arises from System Implementation and drive root cause analysis - so as to ensure proper closure & resolution of issues

You should have a strong business knowledge in Investment Banking/Treasury within Asia, as well as good understanding of various front end systems used to generate risk and profit & loss numbers. A decent understanding of valuation concepts, methodologies and various data elements used for valuation of financial products, as well as familiarity with regulations governing the treasuries business. Business related coding (eg VBA, SQL) experiences are required sometimes and you should have an strong IT acumen and appreciation of the technology used in a Banking Environment

  • 4-8 years of experience in the finance industry, those with prior experience in product control or risk management will have an advantage
  • Minimum Degree in Banking & Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or its equivalent professional certificates
  • Highly numerate with strong business analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and able to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
  • Prior experience in project implementation. Knowledge in Murex, WallStreet, Calpyso ideal but not essential
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritize conflicting demands. Weekend project activities are required occasionally to support testing, mock run and go-live
  • Good team player who possess drive, initiative, have an eye for details and able to work independently under pressure to produce accurate and timely work
