Pre-Sales Solution Consultant
Position Overview

At FIS we are looking for an experienced and motivated Pre-Sales Consultant who can successfully deliver key messages about the FIS IntelliMatch solution set (automated enterprise reconciliation) via presentation and product demonstrations.
The successful candidate will provide business and technical expertise as well as becoming a market expert in order to understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market.

Key Duties

  • Perform sales presentations and deliver solution demonstrations
  • Provide coverage at relevant trade forums and other customer events
  • Identify and qualify customers' business and functional requirements in order to obtain initial project estimates and identify solution gaps
  • Respond to RFI / RFP / queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Clearly articulate the benefits and value proposition of the IntelliMatch solution set
  • Help build and maintain global Pre-Sales processes, supporting documentation and collateral
  • Help to develop new business opportunities across other FIS business segments
  • Be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives
  • Work with marketing and product strategy teams to identify and research new market verticals and opportunities
To deliver the business and technical features of the IntelliMatch solution set; with the primary objective of successfully supporting the APAC sales organization
  • Perform discovery calls and meetings
  • Perform sales presentations and deliver solution demonstrations
  • Build customized demonstrations and POC as an aid to the sales process
  • Provide coverage at annual trade shows and customer events
  • Provide project handover to Professional Services where relevant
To provide business and technical expertise in the Pre Sales process
  • Identify and qualify customers' business and functional requirements in order to obtain initial project estimates
  • Identify solution gaps after gathering customers' requirements and communicate back to Product team
  • Respond to RFI's / RFP / customer queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Clearly articulate the benefits and value proposition of the IntelliMatch solution set
  • Build customer relationships by providing business and solution expertise
To become an integrated part of the global Pre Sales organization
  • Align with and support the other regional Pre Sales teams
  • Help build and maintain global Pre Sales processes, supporting documentation and collateral
  • Develop new business opportunities across FIS Segments
  • Interface with the Product Management, PS, Support and Development organizations
To become a market expert
  • Be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives
  • Understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market
  • Read trade and industry journals to keep abreast of industry thoughts and initiatives
  • Work with Marketing, Product Strategy and other FIS Segments to identify and research new market verticals and opportunities
Position Requirements

Essential:
  • At least 5 years' experience working within a software company as a Pre-Sales / Professional Services consultant in a relevant business area.
  • Experience of working in a Financial Organisation within Operations, Reconciliations, Investigations or Treasury, and / or equivalent experience with Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of pre- and post-trade operations across the financial services industry
  • In-depth knowledge of reconciliation, compliance and exception processing
  • Knowledge of Financial Exchange reconciliations
  • Understanding of the entire sales cycle, from market research through contract signing
  • Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation abilities
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with SQL Databases
  • Experience of Crystal report writing
