We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Controls.

Principal responsibilities

  • Provides SOX support covering
  • Quality control on overall SOX process level documentation.
  • Impact assessment of business and system changes on the SOX control framework.
  • Evaluation and reporting of SOX deficiencies.
  • Maintenance of SOX documentation at process and entity level.
  • Walk-through and testing of SOX controls as prescribed in finance compliance.
  • Monitoring and follow up on completion of mandatory SOX eLearning by Process and Control owners.
  • Roll-out ad hoc initiatives issued by regional SOX.
  • Performance of onsite checks at relevant departments.
  • Support the Finance Business Risk and Control Management framework by
  • Establishing an annual testing plan, monitoring progress against plan, executing control monitoring, reporting results, developing action plans and overseeing remediation for all controls assessed as ineffective or needs improvement, and challenging procedures covering areas under review.
  • Coordinating Risk and Control Assessment including validating scope, reviewing material risks, risk prioritization, validating and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls to mitigate operational risk.
  • Providing effective governance, challenging and reporting of key risks and controls within Finance.

  • Degree in accountancy with strong relevant working experience in the finance function of the banking industry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of colleagues at different levels.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, financial systems and process a definite advantage.
  • Possess good understanding of audit, compliance and risk requirements.
  • Possess skill in critically reviewing processes and ability to suggest improvements
