Your role

–support the firm's proprietary cross-product ecommerce trading and distribution platform uphold high standards for timely issue resolution.
–work as part of the regional APAC team within a wider global team, you will to be responsible for all aspects of incident resolution including impact analysis, root cause identification, escalation management, and effective communication with internal users, external clients, development teams and senior management define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
–combine system integration and engineering skills to build and manage distributed, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure
–thrive on routinely tackling complex software and systems issues, with a proven record of designing, deploying and administering efficient, highly resilient systems and processes within a large, complex, distributed ecommerce environment.
–work in a low latency and high volume data flow environment. Strong emphasis is on identifying and implementing improvements to resolve performance issues, bottlenecks and other potential areas for optimization
–prioritize, coordinate and plan changes to the production environment to ensure robust and problem free application releases
–plan and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises

Your team
You'll be working in eCommerce Federal Support team in Singapore. We:
–are a part of level 2 eCommerce support team with global presence in London, Singapore and the New York area
–provide technical support to the Core/Shared functionalities for internal and external users spread across in APAC region
–are responsible for all production deployments across the platform from very small intra-week iterative changes to large scale global deployments at weekends

Your experience and skills
You have:
–at least four years of work experience, preferably gained within a financial or Technology organizations
–in-depth Linux/Unix experience
–experience with shell scripting and Perl programming skills
–strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
–expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale, highly resilient, distributed ecommerce/Web systems within aggressive SLAs
–strong understanding of networking, middleware and messaging technologies, infrastructure and protocols
–experience of automated application deployments in a highly distributed production environment
–exceptional analytical abilities coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
–flexible, hands-on and proactive approach to working
–experience of working in an Agile development environment

You are:
–a confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
–capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services
–able to work pro-actively and independently to identify and suggest solutions to potential production issues
–willing to challenge the status quo and drive change to improve the service the team delivers to our clients
–able to accommodate periodic on-call and out-of-hours duties in evenings and weekends.
–an individual who clearly demonstrates ownership of your work and takes responsibility to ensure items are completed to best serve our internal and external clients
