The purpose of this role is to define and deliver implementation of a specific set of remediation activities for HSBC Bank Plc as a non US Swap Dealer.

Role Purpose

To define and deliver implementation of a specific set of remediation activities for HSBC Bank Plc (HBEU) as a non US Swap Dealer.  Remediation activities will need to change business process (both policies and procedures) , technology, controls and also management information that is required for internal reporting and external publication to regulators. Individual will define and agree the changes required in HSBC Bank Plc (HBEU) given feedback and input from business, compliance, audit and regulators.  Individual will need to then own the low level plan of remediation activity to make required changes occur.  Coordination with a broad team across business (products areas) and locations (London, New York) and functions is required to deliver  key remediation activities. 

Requirements

Technical Skill Requirements
Strong analysis capability and the ability to turn analysis findings and documents into deliverables and  tasl level plans to meet project aims/requirments.
An understanding of financial products and the Front to Back operation of a Markets buisness , in particular for OTC derivatives.
Knowledge of the roles, interactions and responsibilities of banking/markets supporting  functions etc
Formal analysis or Project management qualifications are less important than a track record and FTB derivatives expereince – this could have been gained in a functional ( Operations, Risk ) or a business aligned role.

Personal Skill Requirements
Confidence in dealing with a range of functional and business face offs – strong ownership of issues and wbility to work constructively with a range of stakehodlers
Clear communciation and ability to relate plans issues and Risks to Project/Programme manager and key functional face offs and stakeholders
Ability to present fndings of analysis and work and get buy in to solutions/project plans  - Needs to be clear and transparent on analysis/workstream issues and blockers

Experience
Experience of conducting analysis and delivering change activities ( to completion)  in a Global Markets Context – must be able to work constructively with a range of fucntional face offs and with broad/matrixed project teams ( Must work across functional boundaries)


Experience of a banking/Front Office enviroment  and if possible working in a on a  Front to Back basis ( i.e. experience in Oeprations / Finance or market/Credit Risk change )  would be useful.


Experience of executitng non IT buisness analysis and  change is essential  -  i.e. working on and deliverring projects where IT may not be a major contributor to progress/success or failure

Candidate does not need to have specific Markets Regulatory Change experience,  although this would be an advantage - knowledge/experience of working and succeeding as analyst and or PM in a markets enviroment is more important.


Experience of operational or controls risk analysis and design/implentation/operation of appropriate controls would be useful background
