Purpose of Role:

The Credit Risk Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the overall program management functions and general business management within the Credit Risk department; 1) providing leadership, coordination and management of business project processes and functions including oversight and tracking; and 2) general business management including budget support / headcount discipline, training and development, communications and meeting management,  presentation design and development, and new hire onboarding.

This position will drive both program management and general business management for the Credit Risk EMEA/APAC regions.  It will focus onproject mobilization, execution, reporting and issue escalation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and working group teams and provide project management support functions to project owners and working groups. Additionally, this position will be the key liaison to the head of Credit EMEA/APAC to assist in general business management activities

The Credit Risk PMO Project Specialist’s primary responsibilities are the following:

Program Management



  • Oversee development, governance and implementation of business project management processes, methodologies, tools and products with support and counseling to working group members on PM tools / techniques


  • Provide support to team members to help facilitate execution of the projects and ensure that project management principles and methodology are applied consistently across projects


  • Manage / co-manage credit risk business projects including status reporting, milestone and deliverables monitoring, and slippage tracking


  • Implement consistent methodologies for tracking execution, memorializing work products and reporting on program status across project collection


  • Prepare documentation requests for meetings, presentations or for other required purposes 

General Business Management



  • General business management support for Head of Credit Risk EMEA/APAC

    • Budget support / headcount discipline


    • Vendor management


    • Communications / meeting management


    • Presentation design and development for senior leaders; presentation review / consultation for Credit teams



  • Support expansive Credit Risk initiatives


  • Manage and coordinate regulatory requests for Credit Risk EMEA/APAC and track exam and review findings / resolution

Level of Education / Specific Qualifications:

The ideal candidate can manage and drive business projects and support multiple initiatives within Credit Risk focused on people and process.  This person should have business knowledge of credit risk, very organized and focused and can build consensus in an effective and positive manner.  The person will be responsible for daily work and drive people / process transformation. 

There may be limited travel required between London and Munich and potentially biannually to the US. 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent


  • 5+ years of work experience in a PMO in a financial institution or related experience


  • Experience in financial services, Credit Risk and/or regulatory agency a plus

Skills and Experience:



  • Strong project management skills and an ability to drive to deadlines


  • Experience with planning, prioritization, issue identification and resolution


  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint


  • Strong organizational and time management skills


  • Strong business writing and verbal communication skills
