As the Head of Internal Audit for this Global Private Banking Group , you will assume overall responsibility for and provide UK Entities with a systematic independent review evaluation on how the internal control systems are preforming, the adequacy of corporate governance and effectiveness of risk management within the organisation. The primary role is to manage planning, execution and reporting of Internal Audit activity, supervise the audit team and the audit process to ensure audits are of high quality. Proven audit and related work experience of leading internal audit firms is desired. MBA/Finance Graduate,ACA CIA with Private Banking experience
A significant technical understanding of the organisation and related business processes function.
A strong understanding of the organisations business processes, polices and procedures
A strong understanding of business controls designed to effectively manage the organisation’s business units and operations including operational and financial controls comprising the organisations overall internal control structure.
A significant understanding of the function of an internal audit department and its contributions in enhancing the overall environment.
A good understanding of internal auditing professional standards, guidelines and procedures.
Ability to conduct risk based audits, and the assessment of the internal control framework.
Considerable exposure to Private Banking environment or similar.
Good understanding of the regulatory (i.e. FSA, GFSC, FINMA, CSSF etc.) compliance requirements applicable to private banking/asset management, trust and fund administration, independent financial advisory and brokerage operations.
Familiarity with information Technology systems and MS Office applications.
A professional auditing qualification, CA, CIA or equivalent is essential.
MBA or degree in Account and Finance or Economics is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Facilitate teamwork by contributing to team effort, sharing responsibility for team results and exhibiting a positive attitude.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. A working knowledge in French is an asset.

Use good listening skills to build rapport and good working relationships with auditees and peers in the organisation.
