Head of Markets Public Side Advisory, your key accountabilities will include responsibility for directing, managing and developing the CCOR team providing Compliance & Conduct advisory services to the Financial Markets (FM) Business Unit.

Here within the Conduct, Compliance & Operational Risk (CCOR) team we seek to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for Lloyds Banking Group through delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the business. We have responsibility for business oversight and assurance activities in relation to Conduct & Compliance, Operational Risk and Financial Crime which is in addition to implementing the Conduct Strategy, managing the People Risk Agenda, liaising with the regulators and managing Insurable Risks for the Group. Here within the Advisory Compliance teams within Commercial Banking (CB) Compliance we perform an essential role in working with our key business and support areas to mitigate regulatory risks and drive compliance and conduct culture. We are an integral link to the other Compliance and Conduct teams to ensure that regulatory risks are communicated, understood and managed and that appropriate risk mitigation strategies are implemented.
As the Head of Markets Public Side Advisory, your key accountabilities will include responsibility for directing, managing and developing the CCOR team providing Compliance & Conduct advisory services to the Financial Markets (FM) Business Unit.
You'll work with the heads of the Private-Side Advisory team, the Finance/GCT Advisory team and the Markets Operational Risk team to deliver cross-training to CCOR colleagues as appropriate, and ensure an efficient, effective and appropriately coordinated approach to issues. The Public-Side Advisory Team is responsible for establishing strong relationships with the FM business Unit, and other relevant functional support areas, and assisting these business units/teams in embedding an appropriate compliance and conduct culture within the organisation. In addition, they proactively provide specialist compliance and conduct advice, and constructive challenge, to this Business Unit and the Commercial Banking Control Function (CBCF), to support them in identifying and addressing current and impending regulatory risks and adhering with Compliance policies and procedures.
A key part of your role will involve providing relevant advice and challenge to help facilitate the development of and maintenance of products, activities and services, including assessing the implications which they give rise to (e.g. Conflicts of Interest, cross border issues, etc.).
In addition, you'll work with the business unit, support functions and Regulatory Change & Development team to assess the impact of new regulations and provide input and advice as required. This will involve helping the business unit and relevant functional support areas implement effective systems and controls that ensure appropriate application of regulatory controls to avoid regulatory censure both in the UK and internationally.
You'll support and work with the Private-Side Advisory team to ensure an efficient, effective and appropriately consistent approach to common issues and also the Finance/GCT Advisory team to ensure an efficient, effective and appropriately consistent approach to common issues.
You'll also support and work with the Markets Operational Risk team to help ensure an efficient, effective and appropriately coordinated approach to issues of joint interest and also with the Investigations and Incidents Senior Manager in providing oversight, input and advice on regulatory enquiries and investigations.
You'll work closely with the Head of the Control Room in relation to the management of conflicts of interest and material non-public information and co-ordinate as appropriate with other 2nd line risk teams.
You'll also attend and contribute to the Executive Committee, Risk Committee and Product Operating & Approval Committees.
