Nomura are currently looking for a Java Developer to join their flow Rates business on a contract or permanent basis. This role requires a strong hands on Java Developer.

Department overview:

The Flow Rates business has embarked on an ambitious project to roll out a new strategic risk and p&l platform to its key trading hubs in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Sydney. The strategy is to initially focus on providing real time risk and p&l for the main flow businesses (Swaps and Government Bonds), followed by the options desk and inflation desk. Once the intra-day risk and p&l phase is complete the project will move onto the flash p&l process and then finally EOD risk and p&l.

Role description:

Developer with strong technical and analytical skills to be part of the team building out the intraday risk system for Flow Rates. The ideal candidate will be a strong Java developer who has worked previously on risk systems (intra-day or end-of-day) and has a good working understanding of derivatives pricing and risk. The server side components are predominantly Java - using ActivePivot for real-time data aggregation, and Gemfire as the data repository. Experience with C# or Python is also desirable, though not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on an incredibly ambitious cross asset build out of a comprehensive trading system, where there is a keen focus on performance, stability and consistency.
