Middle Office Trade Support, Asset Management

This is a newly created role for an experienced Middle Office Analyst to provide trade support for the EMEA Trading desks and oversee trade settlements for the global settlement functions.

Our client, a highly reputable global asset manager based in the West End is bringing middle office operations back in house making this opportunity extremely varied and appealing.

This is a newly created role for an experienced Middle Office Analyst to provide trade support for the EMEA Trading desks and oversee trade settlements for the global settlement functions.

Working in a small EMEA investment management operations team, your responsibilities will be wide and varied working extensively with senior stakeholders and departments across this global firm. In addition to your BAU responsibilities ensuring time timely trade confirmation and settlement, you will also have the opportunity to contribute significantly to bringing operational functions back in house utilising your strong Excel skills.

Supporting the trading desks across EMEA, strong interpersonal and communication skills are required as is a high attention to detail and experience of working to tight deadlines. Your middle office experience will include accurate allocation of Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative trades, prior experience working extensively with the Trading desks to resolve trade discrepancies, oversight of custodians to ensure timely trade settlement, responsibility for daily failed trade reporting, cash & position reconciliation, risk analysis, Broker performance KPI and SLA analysis and reporting.

In this role you will also attend regular formal Broker and Custodian reviews. To be considered, Middle Office candidates will be experienced in the full trade life cycle of multi assets (Fixed Income, Equity, FX and Derivative products) to include trade matching, confirmation through to settlement. Candidates will also demonstrate a detailed understanding of back to front trade flows, reconciliations processes and transaction data (MIFID & EMIR reporting for example).

Candidates will be degree educated and will ideally have professional qualifications such as IAQ or IMC or will be willing to study. It is essential candidates will come from a middle office role responsible for trade confirmations and settlements with Strong excel skills. Prior working knowledge of LVTS, Minerva, CTM and GTSS systems would be advantageous however not essential.
