A Single-Family Office is looking for a person to assist the Head of Operations with all aspects of operations and risk reporting.

Position Description / Requirements

• Manage daily portfolio trade support/trade booking and prepare daily P&L summaries
• Reconcile all cash and security positions with custodians/trustees
• Confirm trade executions and ensure correct reflection of positions/trades in the Portfolio Management System
• Liaise with custodians and executing brokers to ensure all trades are pre-matched in the market, resolving any issues prior to settlement
• Ensure accurate/timely valuation of portfolio securities
• Monitor cash positions and reconcile margin requirements
• Monitor corporate actions on all holdings, informing Traders/Portfolio Managers of any upcoming events whilst communicating responses to custodians/trustees
• Prepare month-end portfolio NAVs
• Assist with the production of internal risk reporting
• Assist with compliance, legal and tax issues when required
• Assist with new investment documentation and broker/account setup, specifically in relation to KYC documentation
• Troubleshoot technical issues on the Portfolio Management System and improve quality of reports
• Handle any ad-hoc intra-day queries from Portfolio Managers and other Family Office members


Undergraduate Degree essential (Finance, Economics, Accounting backgrounds preferred)

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics / experience:

• Strong academic background
• Comfortable working with data and are highly numerate
• Experience in fund administration/hedge fund operations and knowledge of NAV production and security valuation
• Experience in resolving trading and cash reconciliation issues
• Experience working with custodians and executing brokers
• Strong Fixed Income product knowledge
• Derivative product knowledge and understanding of risk management concepts highly desirable
• Excellent communication, problem solving and project management skills
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Tradar/PMS desirable
• Ability to work in a small team
• Enthusiastic and keen to learn with proactive attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to use own initiative
