Our vision is to make Lloyds Banking Group the best bank for customers. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and to put customers at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we also need to be the best bank for our colleagues and our communities - and we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.
Through our brands, our Group has a relationship with just about every household and community in the UK. We underpin the lives of millions of individuals and businesses, and play a key role in helping to create a thriving UK economy.
We build the best teams at every level - we're all responsible for the long-term success of the company, through our individual roles, activities and achievements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a capable and commercial pension lawyer to provide specialist in-house advice to Lloyds Banking Group, working on fascinating and often cutting edge issues in a fast-moving environment.

You'll report to the Head of HR Legal and will join an experienced HR Legal team, which advises the Group on material employment issues across the Group's global network. You'll primarily support Pensions, Reward and Corporate Treasury colleagues and will work in close collaboration with the HR Legal team and wider Legal community.
You should hold a current legal professional qualification to practise as a solicitor or barrister in the UK, and should have proven experience of advising on and managing significant pension issues and disputes with PQE within the pension legal specialism.
In addition, you'll have strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to make the complex simple to understand.
You'll have the ability to organise yourself and your work effectively, with the ability to work well within a team and to collaborate to achieve results. In addition you'll have a strong awareness of the Group's strategic aims and the impact of the external legal and regulatory environment and have an understanding of the practical and commercial management of risk.
Our strategy for achieving our vision is based around three priorities - creating the best customer experience, becoming simpler and more efficient, and delivering sustainable growth. Everyone in the Group is working to build a stronger, more responsible business that will stand out by meeting the needs of families, businesses and communities across the UK.
Here you'll find opportunities to grow your career whilst supporting the Group to achieve a purpose you can be really proud of. If you want to be stretched and fulfilled, we will help you build the career that will make a difference to you and our customers.
