As a Programme Manager you will lead, direct and control the delivery of diverse cross functional programmes. You'll be responsible for shaping and leading major change initiatives which implement business strategies.

Additionally we'll see you optimise resources across programmes and projects to ensure delivery to agreed business plans within cost, quality and timescale objectives; ensuring that the benefits identified in the business case can be realised. You'll be leading a team of change professionals as a matrix project team.

Your key accountabilities will include:
* Programme Setup and Closure - work with Business to define and agree programme structures and benefits and confirm outputs and outcomes to support their realisation
* Governance and Reporting - create, implement and operate within appropriate governance framework which aligns to the wider Group governance framework
* Programme Control and Delivery - leads, directs and controls the delivery of cross functional programmes, including a pragmatic application of programme management methodologies, use of a clearly defined delivery roadmap and robust financial and risk management
* Planning and Finance - drives progress against the programme plan, understands, challenges and proactively manages the cost position; and acts to mitigate potential cost or time delays
* Resource Management - identifies and secures the appropriate resources to work on the programme, defines clear roles and responsibilities for all team members
* Stakeholder Management - Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders. Responsible for building and maintaining key relationships with particular Divisions or Business Units
* People and Self Development - provide team leadership to Change professionals with a permanent team or a matrix structure
* Risk - Continuously evaluates programmes for financial and people risk and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate.
* Finance - delivery of programme to time, quality and cost/benefit objectives

You'll also be responsible for long term planning, objective setting, and development of new procedures across function and/or programmes. You will be expected to demonstrate thought leadership and fostering knowledge sharing to provide solutions for complex/ significant business or specialist issues/ problems where no precedent may exist.

We'll need the following from you:

* Proven Technology Programme management experience and preferably a technology background
* Preferable experience in one or more Finance programmes in Ledgers, Regulatory Reporting, Reconciliations or Group Corporate Treasury
* Experience of Oracle and/or SAP will be beneficial
* Experience of operating in a financial Services or similar Blue Chip environment
* Solid stakeholder management experience and excellent communication skills with proven ability to present to a senior audience
* Innovative thinker who can conceive new ways of doing things
* Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure
