Key Objectives of the Role:

SEI is a leading global provider of outsourced asset management, investment processing and investment operations solutions. Our continued success means we now operate out of twenty offices in over a dozen countries and administer and manage $billions in assets.

We have a created an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with strong relationship building and business development skills, who will be responsible for building and growing what would effectively be a new business line for SEI Asset Management Distribution Europe.

Through positioning our single asset class funds, the individual is expected to build a network of relationships with UK and European fund selectors and asset allocators, to include but not limited to Global Financial Institutions, Discretionary Fund Managers, Private Client Investment Managers, Fund of Funds and Family Offices.

SEI have historically focused largely on a solutions-based approach as well as the positioning of multi-asset solutions, however the track record of some of the underlying components of these now offer the opportunity for developing this new business line.

Reporting to the head of UK/Europe Asset Management Distribution, the individual would be expected to identify a strong prospect list and through high levels of activity convert some of these prospects into clients. The individual would also be expected to initially help develop some of the supporting infrastructure to enable this business to achieve success quickly. The individual would also be expected to service and maintain these relationships with clients as their book of business grows.

Over time the opportunity would exist to building out a team of supporting sales and service individuals based on achieved AUM and profitability growth. Furthermore, the individual will be able to help develop and position a broader outsource model for discretionary fund managers and family offices to potentially capture a larger share of their AUM.


  • Develop and maintain a strong prospect list for new business
  • Achieve net new asset targets through the conversion of identified prospects into client
  • Deliver high levels of in the field and on the phone activity to achieve net new asset goals
  • Clearly and effectively present SEI asset class funds and their underlying investment process
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to support the growth of the business line
  • Maintain working knowledge of market unit solutions and capabilities
  • Create, manage and execute a sales plan
  • Keep Current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication of these with clients where appropriate.
  • Adhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance
  • Any other ad-hoc projects as required.


Technical Capabilities/Skills & Experience Required for the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently to grow this new business line with a proven track record in developing business with new accounts. (Asset management experience is preferred as is an existing network of relationships within the target market.)
  • Superior presentation and communications skills are pre-requisite (both written and verbal) as are outstanding time management and organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • You will also have a strong work ethic be focused and committed to success and be willing to travel as needed to achieve objectives.
