Our client, an international investment banking organisation based in London, are looking for a regulatory project manager to work with the business to assist with the impact assessment and implementation of new regulations.

This a fantastic opportunity to working within the front office advising the business and working with local change teams in scoping out large scale regulatory programmes. The ideal candidate will have evidenced project management experience having worked on EU/global regulations within an investment banking environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the business to align the organization with new regulatory requirements by providing them with the necessary information and clarity to determine implementation priorities and to help businesses better understand the impact of new regulations
  • Identify conflicts between regulations or any other transversal issue or disconnect (for example between dependent projects)
  • Implement regulatory projects to ensure Global Markets conformity with the new regulations
  • Promote when relevant the standardization of practices across all global markets
  • The senior regulatory project manager will be responsible for:
  • assessing regulatory impacts for Global Markets,
  • advising Front Officers on changes implied by the regulations,
  • representing Global Markets in relevant group level committees and
  • the end to end implementation of  1 or 2 major regulatory changes,  notably by
    • Estimating impact for Global markets
    • Setting-up relevant governance
    • Instituting road map
    • Challenging progress reports on each project stream
    • Following and report on the overall program budget and actual spend
    • Ensuring the changes are taken into account in defining Global Markets Strategy
    • Ensuring staff is trained and client are informed

 Required:

  • Extensive  Regulatory knowledge (EMIR, MIFID, DAF…) experience in financial sector
  • Proven project / programme management experience
  • Good knowledge products, PnL, and Risk Management techniques
  • Able to communicate clearly and advise Global Markets top-management
  • Interest in current regulatory developments
  • Be client focus - Sees stakeholders as well as external clients as “customers”
  • Solid network within Global Markets and functions
  • Strategic thinking and analytical reasoning
  • Team player willing and able to communicate efficiently with a global network of people
