FCC aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Compliance risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior FCC Advisory Manager, RBWM Europe.

 In this role, you will:

  • Support EUROPE Head of FCC, RBWM in the provision of clear, concise, consistent, and constructive and customer conscious advice and strategic guidance to RBWM Team, other RBWM, Regional Compliance Officers (RCOs), Local Compliance Officers (LCOs) and business colleagues
  • Work closely with the wider EUROPE FCC RBWM management team to offer seamless compliance coverage across the RBWM platform
  • Partner with country teams leveraging resources as needed to execute Compliance oversight and support of RBWM Business
  • Liaise with relevant individuals within EUROPE RBWM and elsewhere regarding new products and services and the development of standardised compliance procedures, monitoring and training
  • Ensure the accurate input to the provision of periodic reports as required, input to Compliance Certificate and Annual Plan or other
  • Provide compliance input into RBWM FCC projects at the direction of the EUROPE Head of FCC, RBWM and systems developments as they relate to FCC RBWM globally

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, e.g.  Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) and Sanctions experience
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
  • Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
  • Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
