Job Description
Insurance Central Operations Group (ICOG) is responsible for performing transactional processes with Wells Fargo Insurance (WFI). Due to ongoing expansion of ICOG's functional support, we are regularly reviewing functions to determine the most efficient method for centralizing new functions while continuing to streamline existing functions. Operational analysis and data analysis are key components of the every day process.

The Operations Analyst will:

  • Assist in data related components of various initiatives
  • Own various functions related to regular, ongoing data analysis and reporting
  • Develop metrics and provide data for same in support of process management
  • Operational analysis and data analysis are key components of the every day process
  • May participate in large cross-group projects
  • Based on technical and business knowledge, monitor data to anticipate future issues and make recommendations to mitigate

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

It was recently announced that Wells Fargo Insurance Services will be sold to USI Insurance Services (USI). The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017. We are continuing to recruit for all open positions supporting Wells Fargo Insurance Services, but want to ensure you are aware that when the sale closes this position will be transferred to USI. If you are offered the position and begin working at Wells Fargo, you should expect to transfer with the sale to USI with similar employment terms and conditions following your Wells Fargo start date.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of operations analysis experience

  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of operations policies and procedures
  • Ability to independently develop strategic recommendations on operational data
  • Ability to partner with, and lead other functions on operations-related projects

  • Outstanding technical and critical thinking skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel (including Macros) and Access
  • Exposure to LEAN process improvement methodology
