The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial support to CIB's business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

CIB Central P&A is looking for Associate position based in New York for the forecasting role:

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with various lines of business within CIB to understand forecasting process and document it clearly
  • Work with Corporate group and to be able to clearly gather the requirement and be able to coordinate with CIB Lines of business
  • Strong expertise in documentation and follow-ups
  • Independently been able to drive meetings in order to ensure the objective is achieved
  • Provide Senior Management update on the project status keeping core objective in mind
  • Proactively highlight issues and risks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies to completion.
  • Ensure processes are in place to provide the proper level of transparency on expenses with a focus on key drivers across Fixed Income Tech with particular focus on application costs.
  • Continuous review of processes with the goal of providing timely and accurate Management update
  • Build strong relationships and partner with other finance & business managers, Corporate team and P&A

Additional Responsibilities:

As a part of the CCAR program, person is expected to perform Analytical Review / Variance Analysis:
  • Perform analytical reviews such as period over period variance analysis at schedule/line item level and ensure variances exceeding thresholds are appropriately documented / explained
  • Collaborate in the variance analysis explanations to verify that explanations for variances exceeding associated thresholds are completed
  • Assist in the documentation of end to end reporting process flows and identification of controls, including control gaps, ad-hoc requirements from audit, etc.


Qualifications
Experience with Finance and Accounting a must with Program/Portfolio Management experience a plus

  • Experience in working with senior level executives
  • Understanding of Investment banking product or prior experience in the financial industry
  • Clear communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex issues concisely
  • Able to work with independently and as part of an integrated team
  • Strong spreadsheet, word and powerpoint skills
  • Leadership, relationship-building and influencing skills to drive agendas across a number of functions
