Credit Risk Management – Corporate Credit VP
Credit Suisse (CS) is in the process of expanding its Corporate Credit Risk Management team in North America. CS's Credit Risk Management (CRM) department within the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) division partners with key stakeholders throughout the Bank to develop holistic risk coverage and optimize the capital planning process commensurate with the firm’s risk profile. CRM is expanding its Corporate Credit Risk Management Leveraged Finance team to meet an expansion of roles and responsibilities to address first class business unit demands and an evolving regulatory environment in the US.
Credit Suisse is seeking a Vice President to support a Director in leading an industry focused vertical within the North America Corporate team within CRM. This team is responsible for working closely with front office business units, capital markets and the Corporate Bank to provide diligence support on new originations and make credit decisions on a wide range of corporate credit transactions including underwritings and participations. This function will work closely with senior management within the business units as well as senior management within the various credit risk functions.
Provide support to IBD Coverage teams and the Corporate Bank with regards to due diligence and projection models on new transactions.
Document credit analysis and rationale for credit decisions.
Assist in executing credit decisions on a wide range of corporate credit transactions including underwritings and participations primarily focused in the Leveraged Lending market.
Provide support to Director in managing coverage team credit relationships within specific industry verticals.
Assist in running initial credit meetings and interaction with IBD Coverage teams and owns credit approval authority.
Ensures adherence to CRM risk appetite, policy and procedure.
Liaise with various internal constituencies, external auditors, and regulators.
Minimum 5-7 years of prior work experience in corporate credit related functions including new origination roles within leveraged lending, and in depth knowledge of regulatory guidance on Leveraged Lending.
Excellent understanding of credit analysis and various credit distribution markets.
Solid understanding of due diligence process and sound understanding of corporate credit transaction documentation.
Experience in managing loan due diligence and credit approval process.
Ability to work in high pressure environments under tight deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate views to senior business partners and senior credit risk management as well as external stakeholders including regulators.
MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.
