Your role
UBS Securities LLC seeks Directors, Business Managers / Latin American Equities in New York, NY to perform oversight of controls performed by the Front Office. Continuously enhance operational risk mitigating practices, utilizing tools such as the Internal Control Assessment Program (ICAP), a governance framework that identifies and assesses the effectiveness of key controls. Ensure compliance with a broad range of regulatory requirements is properly coordinated. Assist in implementing corrective actions, including remediating audit points and operational risk items. Coordinate the interaction of the Latin American Equities Business with Logistics and Control Functions, with oversight of the scope effectiveness and quality of their service. Coordinate with Operations and Finance to enhance the region's financial reports. Report Risk and Compliance topics to the region's Equities Heads. Support New Business Initiatives (NBIs) and Business Change Initiatives (CEBs) in coordination with relevant Logistics and Control functions, including the articulation of those initiatives' business cases, the design and implementation of pre- and post- go-live conditions. Participate in process improvement, including automation of trading flows and enhancement of booking practices. Support run-the-bank activities including due diligences and general client queries. Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and resource management, including costs, risk-weighted assets (RWA) and limits. Support to local offices in Brazil and Mexico, in enhancing control processes, implementing regulatory related changes and market wide initiatives, such as BM&F BOVESPA's IPN integration project. Your experience and skills
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, International Relations, Engineering or a related field plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in risk management or risk logistics and control functions within the financial services industry. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience supporting design, implementation, and management of control processes across Latin American equities business including working with Latin American equity markets and regulatory environment; managing improvements of trade flow and booking practices and infrastructure from bespoke processes to market best practices; participating in financial planning, budgeting, and resource management, including costs, risk-weighted assets (RWA) and limits; and participating in change lifecycle management including assessment of business cases, design and implementation of control requirements. *LI-N
