IT Financial Controller Manager



Position OverviewThe Finance Division is seeking a Manager level employee that will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and reliable financial information for the Information Technology division. This individual will be the single point of contact for one of the Divisions within IT. This individual will also be accountable for understanding and communicating the IT chargebacks to the Lines of Business (LOB's). In addition, they will be responsible for the Cost Benefit Analysis associated with IT infrastructure and development projects as well as managing the financial processes that support project accounting.

Responsibilities include:

* Provide financial support to the one of the Business Technology Directors or IT organizations:
o Budget / Forecast of expense
o Monthly accrual process
o Monthly reporting and analysis
o Ad hoc reporting and analysis
o Budget transfer process
* Work with CFO/Business Organizations to provide insight into the total IT charges for the businesses:
o Collaborate with LOB on IT Cost Benefit Analysis for Projects
o IT Cost Transparency review and analysis (IT Services)
o Perform base case analysis to identify strategic opportunities
o Work with LOB's to understand and predict future IT expenses
o Work with LOB's to understand the IT Multi-Year Plans
* Manage the project accounting and reporting function for IT
o Coordinate the integration of IT staff forecasts and the IT financial forecast
o Complete accounting entries for capitalization/amortization of projects or HW/SW purchases
o Forecast multi-year impact associated with 'Day 2' core cost impacts
* Collaborate with the business on a frequent basis with strong emphasis on customer service
* Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

Qualifications* Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience and 2+ years management experience
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* Strong knowledge of IT process, methodology and procedures
* Strong organizational and planning abilities
* Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to relationship
* Ability to effectively interact with internal business customers and corporate budget team while maintaining a high level of customer service.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience using PeopleSoft Financials/ Hyperion,
* Demonstrated ability to produce results, solve complex problems and lead team in a challenging environment
* Ability drive resolution of complex problems under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* IT Finance Experience
* CPA, CFA or advanced studies / degree
