Senior Business Analyst - GIS
Our client seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst to assist in the digitisation of data and systems to support a future-state model that was previously put in place. Working within a government department, the successful candidate will have a collaborative approach and be able to liaise across different departments across all levels of government. Your knowledge, experience and skill with GIS or spatial data and strong business process mapping will be crucial to your success.
This is a contract opportunity paying up to $100.47/hour including super, based in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with the business and ICT teams and an external services partner to design the end to end business processes
  • Develop revised roles and responsibilities to support this process
  • Conduct a Gap Analysis and develop an associated action plan - current people skills to new skills requirements - plus ICT transition planning
  • Translation of business process requirements into ICT high-level & low-level design, including functional and non-functional requirements, for new ICT infrastructure required to support the business process
  • Implementation of ICT solution including the development and delivery of process and systems testing
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of process and systems training for users
Key Selection Criteria:
  • A spatial data or surveying background and skill set
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and development of business process maps, including the use of modelling notation
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects through the full Systems Development Lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience working with business, ICT and service partner stakeholder groups
  • Stakeholder relationship building and maintenance, including negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver clear and accurate documentation
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a larger project team including Organisational Change and Communications team members
  • Experience working with service partners to develop ICT systems
  • Experience working on cross-jurisdictional projects
  • Experience working in digital transformational programs and projects (highly desirable)
