See yourself in our team:
You will be a self-motivated, professional banker, with proven lending experience (preferably with some exposure to business lending) who relishes developing and managing relationships with high net worth individuals. As a Private Banker you will be providing clients with a full range of financial services, products and innovative solutions with a strong focus on wealth protection, creation, revenue growth and new client acquisition. You will be innovative, driven, analytical, quick to learn and ambitious.

More specifically you will:
  • Deliver our client value proposition of outstanding service, tailored advice and exclusive opportunities
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients (KYC) and leverage client satisfaction for targeted growth
  • Manage and nurture the overall client portfolio to optimum profitability
  • Identify client's needs to present approved and appropriate products and services
  • Ensure all on boarding of clients are 'Commonwealth Private Appropriate' and there are clear plans developed to enhance the clients relevancy to Private Banking.
  • Develop client relationships to ensure that the Bank is meeting each client's financial needs
  • Nurture a network of local internal and external contacts to assist with the origination of new business, new clients and the gathering of competitive intelligence
  • Understand and operate within relevant Regulatory and Compliance legislative/frameworks, including KYC

To join us as we continue to delight our High Net Worth clients, you will have:
  • Residential and commercial lending experience
  • Prior experience in a relationship management role
  • Prior experience and exposure to various forms of Risk Management within the banking industry
  • Experience in the identification of advice needs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank and financial services products and services
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or related field
  • Diploma or advanced diploma if financial planner (desirable)
  • Strong collaboration skills, with ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders in order to drive referrals and also to navigate issues and problem solve
  • Must be a self-starter who has strong motivation and personal drive to succeed
  • A confident and curious approach to discovering and framing client needs
  • A strong sense of community and ability to engage with and support those around you are vital.
