Special Counsel position available at Australia's leading insurance litigation firm

Demand for their services has created an opportunity at the Special Counsel or a high calibre Senior Associate who is looking for automomy and ownership of clients to join the Melbourne Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.  This is a unique opportunity that presents exciting potential for career advancement in a collegiate and dynamic team.  Working across a broad range of clients, the key focus is around public liability and the key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:

Responsibilities

Draft advices, pleadings and prepare matters for hearing
Attend witness conferences and prepare affidavits and witness statements
Brief senior and junior counsel
Prepare for and attend court
Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

min 6 years PQE, ideally gained within a premium, top tier or international litigation practice
Strong experience working across a range of commercial litigation matters
Excellent written, drafting and verbal communication skills
Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
Experience preparing matters for hearing, preferably including trial experience
Experience or post-graduate studies in international arbitration is preferred but not essential
