Sr Data Transformation Analyst II

  • Responsibilities & Duties
  • New Vehicle Research
    • Develop and maintain reliable information channels to secure relevant source materials in a timely manner:
      • Perform ongoing internet-based research on current and future model releases, and maintain a calendar of new vehicle updates & releases.
      • Collect relevant press & marketing materials on vehicle updates & releases:
        • Press kits & releases
        • New vehicle pricelists
        • Vehicle brochures & specification guides
        • High resolution vehicle press images
    • Communicate with relevant OEM/Importer/Distributor contacts to obtain additional source materials as necessary:
      • New vehicle pricelists
      • Vehicle information bulletins
      • Vehicle specification guides
    • Collect additional information from non-OEM sources as necessary, for example:
      • ANCAP crash test ratings o Green Vehicle Guide fuel consumption & emissions information
      • RVCS Road Vehicle Descriptor information
  • Data Entry & Quality Assurance
    • Using collected source materials, interpret and code comprehensive vehicle information into a proprietary data storage system, including:
      • Vehicle pricing
      • Technical specifications
      • Standard & optional equipment availability
      • Vehicle safety & environmental classifications
      • High resolution vehicle images
    • Maintain data quality in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in line with relevant business guidelines.
    • Interact with research colleagues and manager to optimize data quality outcomes.
    • Recommend and implement solutions to data quality issues.

  • Data Integration
    • Perform ongoing data reconciliation and matching activities necessary to integrate research vehicle dataset with other relevant datasets, for example:
      • VFACTS new vehicle sales volumes
      • Vehicle registration volumes
      • Customer and/or competitor vehicle catalogue systems
  • Customer Service
    • Act as a primary point of contact for customer (internal and external) issues relating to data availability, content, and accuracy:
      • Respond to issues in a timely and professional manner
      • Escalate and/or redirect issues as necessary
      • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to ensure satisfactory resolutions
    • Act as a subject matter expert on vehicle specifications & technology, supporting operational and sales colleagues in achieving shared objectives.
    • Obtaining the latest price lists, brochures and other information materials of the car manufacturers and importers
    • automotive data research on the Internet, creation of ongoing documentation
    • maintenance and continuous updating of our vehicle databases using internal company software (currently AMS)
    • Enter the data required, taking into account the model versions relevant for the volume distribution (VFACTS link)
    • Ensuring data quality in terms of criteria accuracy
    • Implementation of quality assurance measures and therefore responsible to inform about occurring problems
    • Ensure the company's standards for data processing
    • Documentation of all production efforts, processing times, as well as the peculiarities arising during processing.
    • Timely completion of the automotive databases.
    • Assistance in the improvement of existing processes to increase the quality and optimize data processing.
    • First level and support for second level support activities on data-specific issues and customer complaints.

    • Support Sales team in internal and external meetings

  • Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant automotive experience
  • Strong passion for and understanding of the automotive industry
  • Extensive mechanical / technical knowledge
  • Patience and excellent attention to detail
  • Intermediate information technology skills, especially data entry and administration
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities
  • Ability to effectively work both autonomously, and as a collaborative team member
