Finance Analyst / Manager

This leading Government department is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst / Manager to lead a newly created Financial Planning Support Team within Shared Services Finance. This team is responsible for providing expert advice and support to facilitate effective financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the formation of effective business partnerships within Corporate Finance Directorate, the broader Department and external stakeholders to optimise the effective implementation of strategies and reforms.
  • Fully briefing all parties on proposed business tasks and practices, timelines and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and provide expert advice on the development and enhancement of support services relevant to the business needs of Department stakeholders and customers.
  • Analysing the department's current and future requirements and proposing system enhancements to meet those needs.
  • Interpret and apply government accounting procedures and polices relevant to the operations of the assigned business unit.
  • Lead and develop staff to provide advice to stakeholders and customers in resolving issues associated with Financial planning tools.

Requirements:
  • 5 years + experience in business administration, finance and accounting
  • Advanced capabilities in Financial Planning
  • Demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Contact Centre environment
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance System
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
