Analyst - Project Finance Advisory

My client is a universally recognised Global Bank who have extended their market presence in ANZ over the last decade through leveraging off their strong presence in the Asia Pacific region. They have been ranked the No1 Project Financier in Australia for the first half of 2018 by PFI magazine.

In line with their expansion plans a new opportunity has arisen in their Project Finance Advisory team for an Analyst.

THis role would suit a first time mover from any of the Big 4 professional services firm who have had exposure to PF/Infrastructure advisory.

The role will report directly into the Vice president of the team and will be a spring board to a more client facing role involving business development and pitch presentations.

The main duties of the role include:
  • Support the team in providing advisory services for Project Finance transactions across sectors including PPP's , Energy, Power, Utilities and infrastructure.
  • Undertake financial modelling and analysis.
  • Present modelling concepts and outputs to bid team and external clients.
  • Manage communications with relevant professionals to ensure cost assumptions are accurately reflected in the models.
  • Prepare presentations and pitch documents including undertaking industry research and collating existing internal data.
  • Manage communications with model auditors and modellers from participating Banks, sponsors and third party investors.

To succeed in this you will require the following qualifications and experience:
  • University degree educated
  • 2 years financial modelling experience
  • 1-3 Years in a Project Finance / Investment Banking / Accountancy role within the big 4
  • Deal experience within the following sectors: PPP, Power & utilities and Ports
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to step up to a major client facing role in due course
