As the Financial Crime Governance & Controls, Reporting Lead, you will be in a senior analytical and transformation role that sits across Australia Retail & Commercial (AR&C) Division. The purpose of your role is to help AR&C combat financial crime against ANZ and our customers and to ensure that Financial Crime opportunities are minimised by identifying and mitigating Financial Crime risk. You will help achieve this by working with Business Unit Executive stakeholders and relevant Business Unit teams to uplift reporting, governance, controls, and risk assessments on Financial Crime. Financial Crime in this context includes AML/CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, and Fraud.
You will play a key role leading data driven reporting on Financial Crime risks including control health, reportable events, issues, incidents, and KRIs for Divisional risk committees and working groups. We’re excited to see you harness opportunities to develop best in class reporting and provide Senior Management with deep insights on current and emerging risks. The role will draw on your SME expertise, analytical and strategic direction that will help AR&C Business Units identify, assess, document, and escalate their Financial Crime risks.
You will enjoy working in a collaborative, thriving environment together with Data Management, Financial Crime, Operational Risk & Compliance teams, the Transformation Program and 1 st Line Assurance Teams to ensure consistency of Financial Crime risks, controls and appetite across the division. Together, we’ll support Senior Management to make effective and informed decisions and help ensure ANZ is prepared for and adapts to Financial Crime risks.
It’s a great opportunity for you to further establish and maintain thorough knowledge of key current and emerging Financial Crime risks and internal threats to ANZ and in other financial institutions and develop leading edge strategies to respond.
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will be passionate about what you do and bring some or all of the following:
  • Exceptional data and analytical skills required to analyse Financial Crime risk and controls, and data from multiple sources to identify, assess and measure trends and patterns.
  • Knowledge of Financial Crime risks and strategies to prevent financial crime across multiple business units
  • Experience of working within the Op Risk Framework, including knowledge of Operational Risk Management Process.
  • Detailed knowledge of ANZ AR&C systems.
  • Experience of working with external bodies relevant to Financial Crime management (e.g. industry bodies).
  • Proven ability to identify strategic and pragmatic solutions to managing risks, and then deliver against this.
