Citibank is seeking a Head of Investment Specialists to provide leadership and subject matter expertise for the Investment Specialist team, which incorporates structured products, fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives within Citi Australia's Retail Bank and Wealth Management Distribution function

This role will be tasked with working with the Head of Sales and Distribution to formulate and deliver on the Wealth Management Strategy in Australia. This will involve a substantial increase in the monitoring and traded activity of all investment products. The role will be responsible for managing a team of highly trained investment specialists and operations team to execute on the significant growth aspirations of the Wealth Management Strategy

  • In this role you will develop and lead a team of Investment Specialists and Investment Operations Specialists to establish a premium client service across structured products, fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives
Some of your accountabilities will include:
  • Create and deliver the strategy for the Investment Specialist team to reinstate revenue growth, identify new customer acquisition opportunities and identify existing client growth opportunities in line with the Wealth Management Strategy
  • Develop an efficient operations function with a focus on process improvement and digital enhancement
  • Build and lead a high performing sales team to ensure a high-quality service proposition is delivered to Citi's High Net Worth Clients and key internal stakeholders
  • Manage and be accountable of the P&L
  • Delivering revenue targets across the full product suite including - structured products, fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives
  • Present at key client events and seminars as well as in front of senior stakeholders
  • Build the Investment Specialist team's product knowledge across structured products, fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives
  • Deliver and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction and NPS
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate Citi's research into actionable investment opportunities for clients
  • Ensuring investment opportunities are communicated to clients through cohesive, consistent and easy-to-understand messages
  • Provide product and market expertise to Citigold Executives and Relationship Managers to assist with client enquiries
  • Drive a strong compliance and control culture, by ensuring compliance, quality standards, internal policies and regulatory obligations are adhered to


  • Undergraduate degree
  • Postgraduate degree preferable
  • Diploma of Financial Planning preferable
  • RG 146 qualified
  • 10+ years in Financial Services
  • 7+ years experience in client/relationship management roles
  • 3+ years in a people leadership/management role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of charting and technical analysis techniques desirable
  • Good understanding of industry legislative and compliance regime
