Investigations Coordinator, Associate 2 -12months Fixed-Term Contract

Reconciling and investigating all exception items on assigned cash accounts.

Major Responsibilities:

Client Deliverables

  • Completion and analysis of daily reconciliation/s for your allocated cash account/s; ensure all outstanding items are investigated and reported to SSBT sites and SS custody daily; work to resolve open cases in a timely manner
  • Monitor the pending case queues, ensure appropriate actions are being taken within the agreed standards to ensure timely resolution and closure
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables

Risk and Controls

  • Ensure full understanding and adherence to corporate risk policy and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all instructions (incoming SWIFT's, cancellations, amendments, reversals, kickbacks, unwinds, bank charges and statements from correspondents) are authorized, processed, settled and reported in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all internal controls and audit requirements are met according to procedures/policies
  • Ensure errors are minimized; SSBT’s and Global Services exposure to financial loss is minimized
  • Ensure the timely settlement of compensation cases with correspondent banks or counterparties.
  • Ensure the timely completion of error/loss memo reports for your manager / supervisor
  • Be aware of all business contingency plans (GS, SSGM & Investigations). Escalate issues that could result in the invoking of contingency procedures with your supervisor

Client Service

  • Respond promptly to client (internal / external) concerns, needs and requests
  • Ensure all agreed deliverables and standards are met, participate in the resolution of problems as required
  • Provide management regular feedback regarding 3rd parties (correspondent banks, local agents, Investor Services, GS Toronto)

Change Management

  • Demonstrate a willingness to support change / initiatives within Global Cash operations (locally / globally)
  • Demonstrate ability to take on tasks without instruction
  • Assist with providing coverage to the Investigations team and the operations department during times of increased workload, staff absences and public holidays

Education and Experience

  • Industry Accreditation desirable
  • Demonstrated market knowledge and relevant market experience treasury and/or broking products
  • Deadline and detail orientated
