Our client is a specialist investment manager that has been successfully and profitably growing for over 10 years. They proactively manage both operating companies and individual private equity and debt investments. They generate value by being both operator and investor and manage a number of public and private funds on behalf of investors and employees across Special Situations including Venture Capital, Equities, and Debt Investments. The Debt Investments team provides borrowers with bespoke funding solutions to complete projects or finance businesses whilst offering investors structured, secured and strong risk adjusted returns. 

You will be part of a broader Private Equity and Corporate Debt investment team, and cover business development and deal sourcing across the corporate market as well as end to end execution from origination through to deal completion. This will involve conducting commercial negotiation and deal structuring including credit risk analysis and review, as well as transaction due diligence and preparation & presentation of investment committee approval papers. 

You will hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting, and preferably 8-10 years+ corporate lending/structured finance experience gained in a major commercial bank, investment bank, private equity firm or from a debt fund or advisory firm. 

You are expected to have a track record of originating, analysing and executing structured corporate loan transactions, with strong relationship building and deal management skills including a deep client network. You will have a diverse technical skill base including: strong credit risk skills; ability to prepare & present investment committee papers; review and negotiate term sheets and execute formal legal documentation. In addition, you will have developed strong commercial skills and the ability to 'think outside the box' when analysing and structuring transactions, whilst demonstrating the ability to work on your own initiative.
